About Reževići Monastery
Rezevici Monastery is settled in Rezevici village, above small place called Perazica Do. According to legend, near Monastery had been a pillar on which Pastrovici (Montenegrian tribe) had put glass of wine for passengers. One of those who had took the break and had drunk from that glass had been Stefan Nemanjic called Prvovencani, Serbian king. He had built the church dedicated to the Resurrection of Holy Mother of God - Crkva Uspenija Presvete Bogorodice. Other church in the monastery complex had been erected by Serbian emperor Dusan Nemanjic called Silni (The Mighty) but it had not been preserved. Now, on its place there is bigger church built in 1770 and dedicated to Holly Trinity - Crkva Svete Trojice. The monastery was damaged by Turkish and French ar,y several times. In 1941, Italian army devastated and robbed it.
Nowadays, beauty, calmness, fantastic view and adorable monastery kittens make this place unforgettable.
